Cameron/Merkel

David Cameron met German Chancellor Angela Merkel (I think for the first time?) this week. They agreed to work together on a number of areas – climate change, global poverty and economic competitiveness.

This is good news. Those are the main areas that the Movement for European Reform has said the EU should concentrate on.  Angela Merkel hadreportedly set her mind against this new grouping (though whether from principle or out for internal electoral purposes we may never know).  So these working groups are an interesting development. Could they be a first step to her MEPs joining the MER?
